…I see her personality- she is super curious about the basement/garage but no so much about outside…yet. Maybe it’s unnecessary. I don’t know….
Of course, I like the fact that her black-velvet collar has a few rhinestones on it…my chance to finally dress a baby girl, I guess!
As for favorites, I guess I might say that I am a favorite of hers but honestly she is so social, she has special relationships with us all. She literally follows us around the house. She goes where people are. Her routine these days is that she “goes to bed” when the boys do and she stays in there bedroom with them until morning. She literally sleeps on the top bunk all night! The door is open and everything but she seems to find comfort with them (the 3 share a room- now, the 4 of them do!). But the second she hears Jahan or I downstairs in the morning making coffee (usually at 5 or so), she comes downstairs to hang out with us. She lies on the head of my “comfy chair” as I drink my coffee & read. Throughout the day, if anyone is using a computer, she usually wants to be on the keys…I finally figured out it’s because the keys are so warm. Anyhow, she is always at the center of the action- that’s our girl!
With the boys she has unique relationships with each that reflects their personalities. Darian (10) plays with her 50% of the time & pets her the other 50% of the time, all very evenly divided. She trusts him. Ryaan (8) is more tentative (his personality tends to be more cautious in general) so although he plays with her quite a bit, he only pets her when it’s just a calm moment without his brothers around. But he is very, very protective of her and is always reminding people to close doors behind them so we don’t “lose her”. And then there is Kian (4)…the poor Girl! Kian treats her like the baby doll he never had. He is constantly picking her up and carrying her here and there, constantly “putting her” (some may say, forcing her) on his lap while he watches t.v. so they can cuddle, etc. She pretty much runs when she sees he’s after her. But then when he finally leaves her alone, she saunters back out and sticks around. And if he does get her cozied in with him in a blanket with just their heads sticking out, she stays and seems to actually like it!
She is so fun. We are all madly in love with her and can’t imagine our family without her. Even Jahan admits she is so smart and such a love. He used to tell me I was crazy claiming she would come when her name was called but now he acknowledges that it’s true.
I can imagine that you miss Becca and know how special each of the kittens are for you and Boris. They have such wonderful personalities for exactly that reason. The dates these kitties go to their new homes have got to be bittersweet for you. I only hope it’s not so painful that it doesn’t seem worthwhile because please remember that you are bringing true joy to so many other homes & lives! Thank you, Jane.
